Every time I go to a laundry mat or fill my gas tank I give my mind a
work out. When I lived overseas I had plenty of time to complete
challenging Sodokus but the monotony and long hours of restaurant
management doesn't leave much time for exercising my brain.

So here is my secret to training to be a spy in your spare time.. I
practice my timing. At the gas pump, count with the meter for the
first gallon then look away and keep counting and see if you can keep
the same beat.

I usually keep count for 5 or 6 gallons then I look back to see if I
am still in rhythm and continue. Think back to how many spy movies
you've seen where the hero has to count seconds with no watch.
Although the gas pump is not perfect seconds, if you can keep an even
rhythm with that you can do it with any allottment of time.. Seconds
or even minutes like me right now at the laundry mat.

My game at the laundry mat is to walk away from the machine and try to
come back to it with one minute to spare. Worst case is that I miss
and the machine is finished. Its worth the extra couple minutes to
play my game and work out my brain.

I better go.. I've got one minute left on my first load.
